Each year at this time, many people start thinking about that Long Weekend get-a-way in May. The un-official start to Summer. Recent reports are suggesting that coming off tough economic times for many Canadians, a new term has come up that suggests that most will be taking advantage of "Staycations". Essentially vacationing at home, or close to home. Makes sense, and it's more affordable if you know where to go and what to do. Above is an old picture from one of our Staycation favorites, Penticton, British Columbia. As close to home as possible without venturing too far away. If sun, sand, water and camping are your thing, than the Okanagan has alot to offer.
