San Juan Puerto Rico - Carnival Cruise Day 5

Woke up in St Thomas and went for a stroll through town. Stores everywhere before you even leave the dock area. According to the locals we spoke with, there is no real history to St. Thomas. It is
truly a shoppers dream land for high tickets like watches, diamonds etc. Kind of reminds me of Cozumel, Mexico. Don't get me wrong, it is
a beautiful island. For beaches, golfing and 5 star hotels like the Ritz Carlton, you can see why it is a perfect playground for the rich and famous.

When you do arrive, you have to visit Paradise Peak just a few blocks and a short walk from the dock. Price was 21 dollars round trip on the tram. Or you can walk up for free but only if you're in good shape which wasn't us. Well worth the price of admission. The picture was taken there. Enjoy a Bushwacker drink. Local favorite.

Also, Check out Mojo's close to the dock. $3.50 Heineken's and killer BBQ. Chicken which they are well known for.

We also met our waiter who will be taking care of us for the week, Cyrus from the Phillipines.  We opted for the late dinner seating, so he was able to spend extra time with us following dinner.  From there, it was off to the Irish Seas Piano Bar.  The resident pianist, Angela, we found out was from my hometown of Edmonton and also spent some time in Vancouver.  Very cool.

Next stop, the island of Dominica and the city of Roseau.
