VICTORIA - Tourism Victoria has laid off 3 staff members and the organization's president says he's concerned about the amount of post-Games money being spent to promote this region.
Tourism BC reduced its grant to Tourism Victoria by $150,000. As a result 3 positions were eliminated this week.
The opposition is calling on the province to increase tourism marketing and scrap the proposed harmonized sales tax which it says will hurt tourism.
